Prospects for the promotion of coal mine gas power generation technology

According to the current plan, by 2010 and 2012, the total coalbed methane extraction volume will reach 6 billion cubic meters and 7 billion cubic meters. If fully utilized, 7.38 million tons of standard coal and 86.1 million tons of standard coal can be saved; If the air exhaust gas with a concentration of 0.5% or more is used, the potential usable volume is 3.3 billion cubic meters and 3 billion cubic meters, which is equivalent to 4.06 million tons of standard coal and 3.68 million tons of standard coal.

Under standard conditions, 1 cubic meter of pure gas can generate about 3.5 kWh. Build a gas transmission system with a pipe diameter of DN500 mm and a length of 200 meters, which can be used for 6 500KW gas generator sets to generate electricity. The project investment is about 8.5 million yuan, and the annual operating cost is about 2.18 million yuan. The annual power generation capacity is 18.14 million kilowatt-hours, the annual electricity fee income is about 6.53 million yuan, and the investment recovery period is less than 2 years. When the waste heat of the gas generator set is utilized, an additional investment of about 440,000 yuan is required, and the annual income is about 10 million yuan.

It can be seen that the utilization of coal mine gas for power generation is an industry with low investment, low risk, short payback period and obvious comprehensive benefits, and the market prospect is broad.
