Introduction to the occurrence furnace coal gas:

Coal gas is a kind of artificial gas, a gas obtained from solid carbon fuel in the special equipment generating furnace. The gasifier used to manufacture the generating furnace coal gas is air and water steam. According to the use of gasifier, furnace coal gas with different components and properties is usually refers to mixed furnace coal gas. The furnace coal gas is generally divided into four categories: air gas, oxygen rich gas, water gas, mixed furnace coal gas.

Air gas: air (actually oxygen in air) as gasifier; air gas because solid fuel only reacts with oxygen, the combustible component in the gas is mainly carbon monoxide, so its thermal value is low, generally only (3347-3766KJ/Nm3) 800-900 large card / standard cubic meter, even lower, so rarely used in industry, generally a by-product of blast furnace production.

Oxygen-rich gas: a mixture of air, water steam and oxygen (plus pure oxygen) as gasifier.

Air gas composition: the combustible component in the gas is mainly carbon monoxide CO,, so its calorific value is low; its composition is composed of carbon monoxide and nitrogen gas, theoretically calculated using carbon monoxide CO(34.7%), nitrogen gas N in the air gas2(65.3%)。

Thermal value of air gas: generally only (3347-3766 KJ/Nm3) 800-900 large card / standard cubic meter, even lower from 34.7% theoretical carbon monoxide, nitrogen 65.3%, and a low heating value of 4399kj per cubic meter.

Air gas use: air gas as an industrial fuel is rarely used, mainly used in chemical and some special use of gas and small heaters.                                                              

Water gas: Water gas is obtained by the water steam and high temperature carbon reaction. Since the reaction is heat absorption, the clearance must be produced to maintain the furnace temperature. Both CO and H2 in the resulting gas are high and high gas heating value, but low thermal efficiency, about 54%, high cost and complex equipment. Generally used as synthetic ammonia feed gas, less used as industrial fuel gas. Sometimes, a small amount of air is added to the process of water gas, the gas called semi-water gas.

Semi-water gas: air and water steam as the gasifier, ignite the coal in the furnace, blow the bottom of the furnace into sufficient air, make coal burning, and then stop the fan, successively from the bottom of the furnace and the top of the water steam, combined with the hot coal to produce a large amount of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, and then mixed with the nitrogen in the air and the remaining water vapor, forming the water gas. Industrial mostly intermittent blowing with steam and air, or continuous blowing with steam and oxygen. The heat value is approximately 10,500 kilofocal / standard cubic meter.

Composition of water gas: ideal water gas contains carbon monoxide CO(50%), hydrogen H2(50%)。

Thermal value of water gas: theoretically calculate the low heating value of water gas can reach 10056-11732KJ per cubic meter.

Use of water gas: water gas is mainly used in the chemical industry, sometimes as a mixed composition of urban gas and other small industrial use.

Mixed furnace coal gas: Mixed gas combines the characteristics of air gas and water gas, and drums into the occurrence furnace with a mixture of water steam and air, making a mixture of furnace coal gas with higher than air gas and lower than water gas, which is generally referred to as furnace coal gas in production.

Composition of mixed furnace coal gas: combustible components are carbon monoxide, hydrogen, methane and a small amount of heavy hydrocarbon; non-combustible components are nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc.

Thermal value of mixed furnace coal gas: The calorific value of this gas is between 1200-1500 card / meter due to different waves of using fuel properties. Can be produced continuously with a thermal efficiency of up to 70%.

Application of hybrid occurrence furnace coal gas: due to its simple production and low cost, heating value and combustion temperature can meet the requirements of general heat processing process, and are widely used as heating fuel for various industrial furnaces.

Content and thermal value of the occurrence furnace coal gas composition:

The furnace coal gas is divided into single section furnace coal gas and double section furnace coal gas, and the composition of two gas has different thermal values. Thermal value of single-section furnace gas: 5230-5858 KJ/Nm3(1,250-1,400 large card), hot value of dual-section furnace gas: 6,067-6,694 KJ/Nm3(1450-1600 big card), all can meet the power generation needs.
